The Oswestry Chamber of Commerce are delighted to announce the winner of the inaugural ‘best dressed Christmas window’ competition for 2011.
The winner is Bobalot, a market stall which specialises in hand-made crafts, pictures and photographs and can be found on the ground floor of Powis Hall market.
The Chamber had invited businesses to nominate their premises for this award and the winning entry was chosen by Mrs Cynthia Hawksley, Mayor of Oswestry Town Council. Mrs Hawksley said “It was good to see that so many shops and businesses have made a special effort in dressing their windows for Christmas as it really helps to make the town look attractive. It was difficult to choose the winning entry as the standard was so high, but the Bobalot stall in the market really stood out”.
Mrs Louise Hudson, Treasurer of the Chamber of Commerce said “The Chamber are delighted to see that so many businesses have made a real effort to make their premises look particularly attractive at this important time of the year. We hope that more shops will enter next year and that the competition is even stronger”.
Gail Goodall from Bobalot said “We’re delighted to win this competition and would like to thank the Chamber for organising this event. I hope that it encourages more people to visit the market hall in 2012”.
