FROM THE OSWESTRY2020 Team:
As I’m sure you’re aware, things are really beginning to move ahead with the consultation phase now. We had a very successful day last Friday with street stalls at Morrison’s supermarket and then the Co-op in Victoria Road. Thank you to all the group members who came and helped; it really made a difference to how many people we could get to take part.
We need to make sure that as many people as possible know about the Oswestry 2020 consultation, and in particular, know how to access the Web questionnaires. PLEASE HELP US WITH THIS IF YOU CAN by forwarding the email below to your network of friends, neighbours, fellow businesses and workers in and around Oswestry. If you want to personalise the email, please do so, just make sure that all the key information remains in it!
And also, if you’re active on Facebook and/or Twitter, please post/tweet about it. The key message to get across here is:
OSWESTRY 2020 It’s time to talk. Tell us what you think. Help shape our town plan. Please visit www.oswestry2020.co.uk and complete our survey.
Some of you have already said this is something you can help with – this is very much appreciated. However, it may not be your cup of tea, so please don’t feel obliged to do this.
If you do email round, or post on Facebook, or tweet, please let me know. We want to record details about all the consultation work, so that we have evidence of what has been done. Please tell us approximately how many people/organisations you have emailed out to, if you have posted on Facebook, and if you have put something on Twitter.
If you know somone who soesn’t have access to the internet or would like a hand to complete the on-line residents survey they can come along to a session at Oswestry library where a computer will be available and, if needs be, someone can help . A flyer with the dates is attached.
Any queries, do get in touch with me or Irene.
OSWESTRY 2020 – TIME TO TALK
That’s the message from the Oswestry 2020 partnership which is working together to develop the new community led plan for the town – a ‘blueprint’ which will help determine local priorities for new investment over the coming years.
The Steering Group of volunteers and community organisations has been working with Oswestry Town Council, Shropshire Council and local consultants to identify the key issues facing our town. Now it’s over to Oswestry residents to answer the ‘big’ questions that will help shape a town plan which responds to local needs and aspirations.
There are two very simple ways to give your views on-line , whether you’re a resident, a local business, or someone running a community group. You can either visit the Oswestry 2020 website – www.oswestry2020.co.uk – and follow the link to the appropriate Web-based survey. Or you can come and talk to us in town on any of the following days:
