Please find details of a forthcoming business start up course that WiRE are running at Oswestry Library on 15th, 22nd and 29th February 2012. The course is open to anyone with an idea or who wants to spend time developing their business in its infancy. Men and women are both eligible.
WiRE recently took part in the job club open day and met an Oswestry lady who was struggling to find a way forward to come off benefits and start a business in Oswestry. Her comments at the end of the course were very positive:
“The business start up training that I did with Sarah at Wire has been incredibly helpful by giving me not only the confidence but also the tools to create a business that will really work for me. Everything that I needed to consider in order to start and run a business, (including a lot of things which I would never have thought of ) was broken down into ‘bite-size’ chunks of information, there was plenty of time to ask questions and make notes, and all this new information was presented in a variety of ways which meant that it has been possible to gain a thorough understanding of basic business principles…and the training days were fun and friendly too!
I have gone from feeling overwhelmed by possibilities to being really clear about what each next step needs to be. I am now excited about starting a business which I know can be successful.”
The aim of our three day course is to enable delegates to develop a viable working business plan that gives them the tools to launch and take their business forward.
The course runs from 9am to 3pm each day it costs £99 ( which can be paid by the individual or by a sponsor (Shropshire chamber have paid for a number of delegates to attend recently)) It is accredited and also includes up to 8 weeks follow up mentoring. The programme is part funded and accredited by Harper Adams University so the business plan is assessed at the end of the programme and if a pass is achieved 15 academic credits are awarded.
Places can be booked online at www.wireuk.org/training or by phoning the WiRE office and paying by phone. Sponsored places can be invoiced.
