Introducing the Oswestry Chamber of Commerce
One of the many things that makes Oswestry a great place to live and work is the large number of diverse businesses and groups that add real value to the economic and social environment in and around the town. Some of you will have already heard that there is a newly reformed Chamber of Commerce in Oswestry.
Since April we have been talking with our members as well as many others around the town in order to understand their needs and some of the issues that we face.
We want the Chamber to speak up and support Oswestry’s business community, and seek to influence decisions that may impact onlocal businesses and the life of the town as a whole. We also want to work in partnership with others to find the best solutions to the problems that we collectively face. It is undoubtedly the case that Oswestry will face great change and economic challenges in the months and years ahead.
We will be meeting monthly from 6pm – 7pm in the Wynnstay Hotel and our next meeting is on Wednesday 3rd August. At the July meeting, David Preston, Town Clerk, Oswestry Town Council welcomed the new Chamber and confirmed his desire to work with us.
If you have a business interest in the town or the surrounding area, please come along and meet us.
