The theme of the evening is the growing threat of cybercrime and the new Data Protection regulations coming onstream in May 2018.
Whatever the size of your business, cybercrime can and does happen and is an increasing threat. Charmaine Woolley is the Business, Rural and Cyber Crime Coordinator for West Mercia Police.
She will give an overview of the current situation in the Shropshire area, what to be aware of and how and what steps you can take to protect yourself and your business.
Ian Ross is Director of Severn Business Solutions, a Telford based technology and IT support company founded in 2010, providing a one stop shop for all your business technology needs. Ian has 30 years’ experience designing, implementing and managing ICT solutions for a wide range of organisations, of all shapes and sizes. Key to any company is the sometimes confusing issue of Data Protection, with new changes coming in in 2018.
Ian will talk about the impact of the new GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) how it might affect you and steps you, as a business, may need to take to comply with the new rules.
